Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with field experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specs.
• Able to operate tools safely in a construction environment.
• Strong communication with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read specs or blueprints to determine material needs.
• Fabricate metal parts per blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Unload, position, and hoist prefabricated steel units.
• Verify alignment of structural steel using plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces with appropriate tools.
• Assemble hoisting equipment to move heavy materials.
• Estimate sizes, distances, quantities, and project resources.
• Inspect workers' output for contract compliance.
