The Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood is seeking an IRD Server to deliver attentive service, greet guests, input orders, and coordinate with the kitchen while handling cash procedures. The position requires a high-school diploma, luxury-hotel experience, and the ability to work a fast-paced shifts with flexibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 2-3 years related experience; or equivalent combination.
• Luxury hotel experience required.
• High-volume, fast-paced work environment experience required.
• Aloha experience is a plus.
• Food Handlers card is required.
• TIPS Certification is a plus.
• RBS certification is a plus.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Proficient in Spanish (verbal).
• Flexible work availability for all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up designated IRD areas and complete opening/closing and side work duties.
• Handle timely check presentation and guest billing/credit card processing.
• Restock and maintain par levels during shift.
• Receive information from previous shift and pass on pertinent details to following shift.
• Prepare, deliver, and remove IRD trays and amenities.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.
• Cross-train in other F&B areas.
• Maintain professional integrity and composure under pressure.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
• Multitask effectively and maintain attendance.

Job Summary

The IRD Server is responsible for greeting guests, inputting and delivering orders, communicating with kitchen staff, and adhering to proper cash handling and credit procedures, while creating a memorable IRD experience through friendly, prompt, and attentive service.

• Properly and thoroughly set-up designated IRD areas and complete all opening, closing, and side work duties during shift.
• Responsible for timely check presentation and retrieval, billing/credit card/payment and collecting feedback from the guest.
• Consistently check, restock, and maintain par levels during shift (i.e. napkins, ice, ingredients, etc.
• Receives information from the previous shift and passes on pertinent details to the following shift.
• Responsible for prompt and thorough preparation, delivery, and removal of IRD trays and amenities.
• Abide by all control, regulations, laws, and procedures related to food/alcohol service, safety, and sanitation.
• Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.
• Displays a high level of professional integrity and ethical conduct.
• Maintain calmness and composure under high levels of pressure.
• Adapt to frequent change, fast paced environment, delays, or unexpected events.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2-3 year's related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Luxury hotel experience required.
• High volume, fast-paced work environment experience required.
• Aloha experience is a plus.
• Food Handlers card is required.
• Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a plus.
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a plus.
• Proficient in English- verbal and written.
• Proficient in Spanish- verbal (preferred).
• Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements Include

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
