Job Summary

The Server is responsible for greeting guests, receiving and inputting orders, communicating with service and kitchen staff, adhering to proper cash handling and credit procedures, while creating memorable dining experiences by providing friendly, prompt, and attentive service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Attend to guest needs and requests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Efficiently receive guest orders paying attention to special requests or needs (i.e. allergies) and input them into POS system. Communicate special requests to the kitchen to ensure correct outcome.
  • Consistently follow sequence of service process (i.e. greet guest in timely manner, table touching, check presentation, etc.).
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
  • Properly and thoroughly set-up all server areas and complete all opening, closing, and side work duties during shift.
  • Check identification to verify legal age (21) requirements for all guests.
  • Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
  • Assist with in-house events setup, breakdown, and service as needed.
  • Abide by all control, regulations, laws, and procedures related to food/alcohol service, safety, and sanitation.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other F&B related areas.

Requirements
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education include:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or minimum 3-5 years related experience.
  • Luxury hotel/fine dining experience is preferred.
  • High volume, fast-paced work environment experience preferred.
  • Micros experience is a plus.
  • Food Handlers card is required.
  • Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification is a required.
  • Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is a required.
  • Proficient in English- verbal and written.
  • Must have flexible work availability- all shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements include:
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
