The George Washington University’s Office of Human Research seeks an IRB Analyst II to manage the review of human research study applications, ensuring timely and compliant approvals across all stages.

This role supports the IRB meeting process, guides investigators, monitors post-approval changes, and coordinates single IRB arrangements, acting as a liaison with internal and external partners to protect research participants.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree or higher.
• Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Preferred CIP credential and experience with a reliance program.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with investigators and teams.

Aufgaben

• Conduct specialized risk, compliance and protocol analysis of research applications to determine risk level.
• Manage the lifecycle of research proposals and the IRB review process.
• Oversee convened IRB meeting process and advise investigators on protocol changes.
• Counsel investigators on changes post-approval to protect participants’ rights and welfare.
• Manage IRB Reliance/sIRB arrangements and liaise with external IRBs as needed.
• Collaborate with OHR leadership on special projects and HRPP support.
