Job summary

The George Washington University seeks an IRB Analyst II to oversee human subjects review processes and ensure compliance with regulations and institutional policy.

In a hybrid on-site role based in Foggy Bottom, you will guide investigators, coordinate sIRB activities, and collaborate with HRPP leadership on special projects while maintaining timely approvals and participant protections.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of professional experience or a Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialized risk, compliance and protocol analyses to determine risk level.
• Manage the IRB review lifecycle and convened meetings, advising investigators on protocol changes to minimize risk.
• Coordinate IRB reliance (sIRB) arrangements and communicate with internal and external entities.
• Provide guidance on IRB applications and approvals and liaise with investigators, coordinators and departments.
• Collaborate with OHR leadership on special projects in support of GW HRPP.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
