Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP in Houston seeks an IP Services Assistant to support its patent practice by handling U.S. and international filings, reviewing dockets, preparing and e-filing documents with the USPTO and other agencies, and ensuring procedures are followed.

You will collaborate with attorneys, clients, and paralegals to meet deadlines, maintain records in iManage, track billable and non-billable time, and stay informed on USPTO rules and international filing procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of two years of patent prosecution experience.
• Familiarity with USPTO procedures and PCT matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documents for USPTO patent filings and related correspondence.
• Review daily dockets and monitor deadlines for US and foreign filings.
• Prepare inventor formality documents for USPTO submission.
• Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure compliance with firm policies.
• Maintain and organize records in iManage and track billable time.
