Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP in Milwaukee, WI seeks an IP Paralegal Assistant to support patent and trademark matters in a busy IP practice. You will assist attorneys and paralegals with docketing, electronic filings, portfolio management, and maintenance of patent applications.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of patent experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Qualifications

• One year of patent experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience with electronic court filings.
• Ability to prioritize workflow and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and paralegals with a full range of Patent & Trademark matters.
• Coordinate international filings with foreign law offices and/or entities.
• Maintain docket system of due dates for actions and patent annuities.
• Perform data entry and document management duties.
• Learn and implement new AI tools in IP practice.
• Meet annual targeted billable hours of 1000.
