Job summary

Mueting Raasch Group in Minneapolis seeks an experienced IP Operations Manager to lead patent prosecution paralegal and docketing teams. This hands‑on leadership role focuses on improving workflows, partnering with attorneys, and implementing technology and AI tools to streamline operations.

You will oversee workloads, train staff, and collaborate with partners to ensure deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency while remaining involved in core docketing work when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of patent prosecution paralegal work, IP docketing, or IP operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; paralegal certification or equivalent experience required.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with IP docketing software and document management systems.
• Strong knowledge of U.S., PCT, and foreign patent prosecution procedures and deadlines.
• Prior supervisory or team‑lead experience in a law firm or corporate legal dept.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to streamline repetitive work through automation and AI.
• Evaluate, implement, and manage technology solutions for patent prosecution operations.
• Coordinate work with outside/offshore service providers.
• Onboard and train new paralegal and docketing staff; promote cross training.
• Lead and develop patent prosecution paralegal and docketing personnel.
• Balance workloads to meet deadlines accurately and efficiently.
• Perform day‑to‑day docketing and prosecution support as needed.
