Job summary

Milwaukee Tool in Brookfield, Wisconsin is seeking an IP Docketing Manager to lead patent and trademark docketing initiatives, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all docketing activities.

This hands-on leadership role combines deep IP prosecution docketing expertise with people management, coaching, and continuous improvement, partnering with agents, attorneys, vendors, and IT to protect data integrity and optimize the docketing platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of comprehensive docketing experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. and foreign patent/trademark prosecution.
• Proficiency with IP docketing/management systems (CPI, PATTSY, Anaqua, or similar).
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the IP docket work and respond to inquiries from the IP Team.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of all docketing.
• Lead and manage docketing staff, assign work, monitor workload, and train staff.
