Job summary

Cass County Senior Living & Rehabilitation in Virginia, IL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as MDS Nurse / Infection Preventionist. This dual‑role position combines oversight of MDS coordination with infection prevention activities to improve resident outcomes and compliance.

The role is full‑time, Monday–Friday, with a $39.00–$41.00 per hour pay range based on experience and a $10,000 sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• Illinois RN license is required.
• Previous MDS experience is required.
• Infection Prevention experience preferred.
• Willingness to complete CDC Infection Preventionist Training if not already certified.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MDS assessments and ensure accurate coding for reimbursement and quality measures.
• Lead the Infection Prevention and Control program with surveillance, investigations, and reporting.
• Educate staff on infection prevention standards and monitor compliance across shifts.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident outcomes and regulatory compliance.
