Job summary

Lake Cumberland Recovery is seeking an IOP/OP Individual Therapist to deliver evidence-based clinical services in the Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient programs. You will perform comprehensive treatment planning, conduct individual therapy, support utilization review, and collaborate with group therapists to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Evidence-based clinical interventions used in IOP/OP settings: CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care.
• Experience applying relapse-prevention strategies within outpatient programs.
• Ability to document and support ASAM-based treatment planning and level-of-care decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly individual therapy sessions for all IOP clients according to program standards.
• Offer individual therapy for OP clients as clinically indicated.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and relapse-prevention strategies.
• Document all individual sessions within 24 hours, including interventions, engagement, progress toward objectives, and plan.
• Complete Comprehensive Treatment Plans for all assigned IOP/OP clients within required timelines.
• Ensure treatment plans include ASAM ratings, measurable goals, and integration of co-occurring needs.
• Complete ASAM Continuing Care Reviews for ongoing level-of-care determinations.
• Update treatment plans when clinically indicated and in UR timelines.
• Ensure documentation meets Kentucky AODE/BHSO and Joint Commission standards.
• Provide group therapy coverage when needed and ensure curriculum alignment.
