Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is seeking a Supply Manager I to oversee inventory, warehouse, procurement, and supply operations across DJJ facilities. You will ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with state regulations while supporting facility operations and customer service.

Responsibilities include managing stock levels, coordinating with vendors, and supervising the SCDC work crew as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and related work experience required.
• Working knowledge of supply practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures for Inventory Management.
• Proficient with Windows Software, Adobe, and SCEIS.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Valid SC driver's license and ability to pass Defensive Driving training.
• Must be able to work under pressure and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage inventory, warehouse, and supply operations for assigned facilities.
• Maintain adequate stock levels to support daily operations; receive, store, distribute, and track supplies and equipment.
• Monitor usage, establish reorder points, perform physical inventories, ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with agency requirements, inventory control, and tool and supply management requirements.
• Process and maintain procurement and inventory documentation; use SCEIS for Goods Issues and Goods Receipts.
• Prepare requisitions, shopping carts, inventory reports, and documentation.
• Maintain inventory databases, supply logs, and related files.
• Serve as liaison between facility staff, vendors, and agency leadership on supply matters.
• Coordinate facility operational activities related to inventory, supplies, and logistics.
• Supervise SCDC work crew when assigned and report issues promptly.
• Pursue continuous improvement of inventory and supply operations.
