Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Inventory Control/Logistics Specialist in the United States. The role centers on maintaining inventory integrity, leading cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies while coordinating with management and DSV clients.

You will handle RF scanners, operate MHE, and apply knowledge of WMS to ensure accurate stock levels. Strong detail orientation and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
  • Able to operate MHE.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with RF scanners.
  • Knowledge of WMS functions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain perpetual inventory record integrity and inventory accuracy.
  • Administer the cycle count program.
  • Analyze and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and perpetual records.
  • Audit daily error reports and make corrections.
  • Analyze and publish monthly and year-to-date WMS cycle-count variance data.
  • Validate stock change-in/out transactions against product structures.
  • Analyze miscellaneous receipts and issues and take corrective action.
  • Serve as distribution leader for physical inventory.
  • Research inventory issues using the online Inventory Audit Trail.
  • Prepare monthly reports on major problems and project updates.
  • Implement and monitor space utilization and product locator systems.
  • Delegate work and oversee inventory staff and scheduled shifts.
  • Assist with associate relations, training, development, evaluations, counseling memos, and attendance follow-up.
  • Audit the warehouse for safety, security, and quality compliance.
  • Conduct daily startup meetings and coordinate operations with the manager.
  • Communicate operational issues to management and DSV representatives or clients.
  • Provide information about labor and equipment needs.
  • Develop team leaders and ensure associate expectations are met.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Perform other assigned duties and assist management as needed.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment
  • Able to operate MHE

  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for verifying quantities and counting inventory
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to work mandatory or voluntary overtime as required
  • Preferred: 1–3 years of experience in an inventory department
  • Preferred: 1–3 years in a progressive leadership role
