Job summary

Jobtailor in Lancaster, TX is seeking an Inventory/Logistics Supervisor to maintain cycle count accuracy and lead a team in a fast-paced warehouse. You will audit reports, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure safety and quality compliance.

Responsibilities include publishing monthly variance data, managing space utilization, and coordinating with management for labor and equipment needs. Prior experience in inventory leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year experience in logistics/distribution or a related environment.
  • Preferred: 1–3 years in inventory department.
  • Preferred: 1–3 years in progressive leadership.
  • Able to operate MHE and use RF scanners.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS functions.
  • English reading, writing and verbal skills.
  • Basic to intermediate math to verify quantities and count inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to bend, lift, and move 11–20 pounds and operate in unregulated warehouse temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain perpetual record integrity and inventory accuracy through cycle counts.

  • Publish monthly and YTD WMS cycle-count variance data.
  • Validate stock changes against product structures and transactions.
  • Lead distribution operations and supervise inventory staff.
  • Prepare monthly reports on major problems and status updates.
  • Monitor space utilization and product locator systems.
  • Coordinate with manager and conduct daily startup meetings.
  • Provide labor and equipment information to management for planning.
  • Ensure safety, security and quality compliance in the warehouse.

Job description

  • Maintain perpetual record integrity and inventory accuracy through administration of the cycle count program
  • Analyze and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and perpetual records
  • Audit daily error reports and make corrections as necessary
  • Analyze and publish monthly and year-to-date WMS cycle-count variance data
  • Validate stock change-in/out transactions against product structures
  • Analyze miscellaneous receipts and issues and take corrective action
  • Serve as distribution leader for physical inventory
  • Research issues using the online Inventory Audit Trail
  • Prepare monthly reports on major problems and project or assignment updates
  • Implement and monitor space utilization and product locator systems
  • Delegate work and oversee scheduled shifts and inventory staff
  • Assist with associate relations, training, evaluations, counseling memos, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Audit the warehouse for safety, security, and quality compliance and promote a clean, orderly work area
  • Conduct daily startup meetings, encourage feedback and teamwork, coordinate operations with the manager, and report operational issues
  • Provide management with information about labor and equipment needs and develop team leaders
  • Supervise inventory leads, associates, and CSR staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including in-transit reports and shipping adjustments
  • Work flexible schedules and overtime as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1 year experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
  • Preferred: 1–3 years’ experience working in an inventory department
  • Preferred: 1–3 years in progressive leadership
