Job summary

Walgreens in Vestavia Hills, AL seeks a dedicated inventory specialist supporting front end and pharmacy operations. You’ll manage receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and planograms, while ensuring On-Shelf Availability and accurate inventory records across store departments.

Responsibilities include reviewing reports, executing pricing tasks, supporting ordering, and assisting in opening/closing duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal) or one year of prior retail work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.
• Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices for the store including both front end and pharmacy.
• Review and coordinate the use of reports and systems affecting on-hand balances and pricing.
• Perform front end and pharmacy asset protection tasks and manage returns and overages.
• Open and close the store in the absence of management, including cash handling and POS responsibilities.
• Support inventory processes: receiving, counting, ordering, and planogram validation.
