Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a capable store associate to manage inventory for both front-end and pharmacy, including receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and planograms. You will monitor reports, ensure accuracy of on-hand balances, and champion On-Shelf Availability.

In this role you will also handle store opening/closing in designated stores, assist with cash handling, and coach team members on inventory processes. A focus on customer service and efficient operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Experience identifying operational issues and implementing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Execute, monitor, and train inventory best practices for store and pharmacy.
• Support inventory management: receiving, counting, ordering, returns; ensure planograms.
• Review reports affecting on-hand balances and pricing accuracy.
• Protect assets and handle vendor/warehouse overages and shortages.
• Open/close store duties in absence of management and handle cash as needed.
• Engage customers, resolve issues, and model service excellence.
• Lead duties by coaching team on inventory processes and POS operations.
• Complete pricing, promotions, and signage tasks; manage pharmacy postings and recalls.
• Assist with front end and pharmacy ordering; maintain inventory accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare for physical inventory and support inventory day activities.
