Job Description for Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist will play a key role in managing the inventory program. They will oversee processes and procedures related to a large-volume, small-part inventory, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze large data sets. A mindset focused on continuous improvement is essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Tracking all inventory used by contractors for WIFI cable installation and associated materials (e.g., splitters, construction materials, vaults, markers) on contractor sites—not in client warehouses.
  • Labeling and properly placing inventory items.
  • Verifying stock information and unit identification numbers.
  • Auditing equipment and parts.
  • Unpacking, sorting, and staging units for production.
  • Receiving units with RF handheld devices.
  • Performing cycle counts and audits following company policies.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, are a plus.
