Job Description: Inventory Specialist at Walgreens

This position involves executing, monitoring, and training staff on inventory management best practices across the entire store, including front end and pharmacy. Responsibilities include receiving, counting, ordering, facilitating returns, and ensuring on-shelf availability. The role also involves reviewing reports, maintaining asset protection techniques, and opening/closing the store as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing inventory processes, including receiving, counting, and pricing.
2. Reviewing reports and system applications for accuracy in inventory and pricing.
3. Executing asset protection measures and filing claims for overages, shortages, and damaged goods.
4. Opening and closing store operations in the absence of management, including cash handling and system start-ups.

Additional duties involve customer engagement, operational management of deliveries and pharmacy activities, pricing, order management, inventory counts, compliance with laws, and supporting team development.

The role requires attending training, obtaining necessary certifications, and effective communication skills. Candidates should have prior retail or Walgreens experience, be fluent in English, and willing to work flexible hours.
