Job summary

MSC Industrial Supply Co. is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to implement and promote MSC inventory solutions, data collection, and vending diagnostics. This role focuses on advanced solution selling and hands-on implementation across customer sites in Davenport, IA.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years in value-added customer solutions and inventory programs, with hardware/software troubleshooting skills. Travel up to 75% is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum two years supporting value-added customer solutions / inventory management is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and/or software preferred.
• Knowledge of MSC-like product lines/services & MSC related experience is required.
• Minimum of two years of general sales experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with MSC Sales Teams to enable solutions growth and drive value.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of MSC solutions (e.g., CMI, VMI, Vending, Crib software).
• Follows Salesforce protocols for project and time management.
• Drives data collection, solutions discovery, and recommendations.
• Installations and Break Fix (onsite service) responsibilities.
• Supports supply chain optimization and adherence to SLAs.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and operate in industrial environments.
