Job summary

Soho House is seeking a Receiver to handle and process all food and beverage stock for the house, maintain cleanliness of storage areas, and ensure efficient flow of goods.

You will document, store, locate, distribute stock, inspect shipments, and support management with inventory, while upholding safety and high-volume beverage operations. Great eye for detail and willingness to learn the ins and outs of a fast-paced club environment are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ relative experience with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation.
• Ability to read and write English, ability to read labels and following safety instructions.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Receive all perishable and non-perishable beverage and food orders and verify plus document the quantity received of all produce, fruits, dry goods, liqueur, chemicals, and supplies.
• Provide support to vendors and management in the receiving of all other supplies as needed
• Check received merchandise (quality and quantity) and reject unacceptable merchandise
• Distribute merchandise accordingly to food safety rules and storage orders.
• Ensure the smooth working of FIFO of walk ins and freezer
• Conduct inventory as advised and communicate results to management
• Daily checklist with overnight porter
• Wipe down and sanitize all areas of bar storage to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the storage of consumable items
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
