Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. in South San Francisco is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensure accurate receiving, and stock merchandise.

You will walk the floor daily to scan items, identify shortages or overstock, and partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk to keep inventory precise and promotions on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in a retail or grocery environment.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the backroom and receiving areas.
• Able to lift 5–50 lbs., push/pull 10–50 lbs., and stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is accurately received and stocked.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories.
• Maintain a secure, clean backroom environment.
• Contribute to store operations with attention to detail and tech-savviness.
