Job summary

Albertsons Companies is hiring for a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring receipts are accurate and items are stocked properly. You will walk the store, identify stock issues, and work with order writers, night crew, and merchandisers to maintain inventory integrity.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in a retail or grocery environment.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel; familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the backroom and receiving areas.
• Capable of making independent decisions and resolving inventory and delivery issues.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, delivery drivers, store management, and fellow associates.
• Ability to lift/carry 5-50 lbs., push/pull 10-50 lbs., and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Commitment to accurate inventory and store readiness for customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations to ensure merchandise is received, counted, and stocked.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and spot out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.
• Regularly communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotions.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery/non-perishable inventories; keep backroom secure and organized.
