Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations.

You’ll receive, scan, and stock merchandise, identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions, and partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the Store Director to maintain inventory accuracy and promote execution. This entry‑level role rewards careful attention to detail, basic computer skills, and a proactive approach to resolving inventory issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in retail.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel.
• Ability to monitor damaged or salvageable merchandise and process returns.
• Maintain cleanliness and security in backroom and receiving areas.
• Decisive, independent problem-solving related to inventory and deliveries.
• Effective communication with vendors, drivers, and store staff.
• Ability to lift 5–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to positive customer experience through accurate inventory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and inventory control.
• Scan, receive, and stock merchandise; identify stock issues.
• Collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and Store Director.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories.
• Maintain secure, clean backroom and receiving areas.
• Support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
