Shaw’s and Star Market in Massachusetts is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) to oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring accurate receiving, counting and stocking of merchandise. You will walk the store daily to scan items, identify shortages or overstock, and work with order writers, night crew and merchandisers to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking and reconciling inventory in a retail or grocery setting.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain backroom cleanliness, security and order.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is received, accounted for and stocked.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers and the File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories.
• Maintain a secure, clean and organized backroom environment.
