Job summary

Acme Markets is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk to manage Direct Store Delivery workflow, verify accuracy of received stock and maintain organized backroom areas. You will scan items, flag gaps or surpluses, and work with store teams to support inventory integrity and promotions.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills (email, Excel) and strong communication to coordinate with vendors and drivers. A fast-paced, physically active environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking and reconciling inventory in a retail environment.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit.

Responsibilities

• Oversee DSD operations and ensure merchandise is received, accounted for and stocked.
• Walk the store daily to scan items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Collaborate with order writers, night crew, merchandisers and File Maintenance Clerk to ensure inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
