Albertsons Companies is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk to manage Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and maintain accurate inventory across the store. You will walk the floor daily, scan items, and address stock issues while coordinating with night crew and merchandisers.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to keep the backroom clean, secure, and well-organized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory in retail or grocery environments.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain backroom cleanliness, security, and order.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is received, counted, and stocked.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify out-of-stock or overstock conditions.
• Partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate regularly with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotional execution.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories in a secure backroom.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom environment.
