Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk to manage backroom inventory and ensure accurate receiving and stocking of DSD merchandise. You will walk the store daily, scan items, and collaborate with night crews, merchandisers, and store leadership to maintain stock integrity.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication, with a focus on protecting inventory and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with receiving, tracking and reconciling inventory in retail or grocery.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired or salvageable merchandise and process returns.
• Maintain clean, secure backroom and receiving areas.
• Communicate with vendors, drivers and store management to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations and ensure merchandise is received and stocked accurately.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify stock conditions.
• Partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers and backroom staff.
• Monitor inventory, donations, and promotional execution to support accuracy.
