Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk to manage Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring items are received accurately, tracked, and stocked. You will walk the store to scan items and spot out-of-stock or overstock conditions, collaborating with various store roles.

You will help ensure inventory accuracy, assist with promotions, and maintain a clean, secure backroom to support efficient store operations.

Qualifications

• Inventory management experience in retail or grocery.
• Basic computer skills including email and Excel.
• Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain backroom cleanliness and security.
• Independent decision-making and issue resolution regarding deliveries.
• Effective communication with vendors, drivers, store management.
• Physical ability to lift 5–50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Customer-focused approach to inventory and store readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations to ensure accurate receiving and stocking.
• Walk the store daily to scan DSD items and identify stock issues.
• Partner with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and File Maintenance Clerk.
• Communicate with the Store Director to support inventory accuracy and promotions.
• Monitor donations and manage grocery and non-perishable inventories.
• Maintain a secure, clean, and organized backroom environment.
