Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Senior Inventory Specialist to drive inventory integrity, health, and quality across multiple sites in North America. You will influence site operations teams and implement standardized ICQA practices to reduce shrink and improve accuracy.

Responsibilities include leading SOPs, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and Lean/Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, or operations analytics (3PL experience strongly preferred).
• 4+ years in inventory control, quality assurance, or operational excellence leadership.
• Proven track record improving: inventory accuracy, shrink reduction, operational quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Build capability and consistency across sites through training, tools, and governance.
• Partner closely with: Site Operations Leaders, Engineering & Continuous Improvement teams & Account Management / Customer teams.
• Influence without direct authority to ensure adoption of ICQA standards.
• Drive network-wide inventory accuracy performance, including cycle count execution and compliance, root cause analysis of discrepancies & shrink and missing inventory reduction programs.
• Drive accountability across site operations teams for inventory accuracy KPIs.
• Implement reporting and dashboards to track Inventory accuracy, Adjustments and write-offs & Root cause trends.
• Develop frameworks for inventory health management, including aging inventory, obsolescence risk & location accuracy.
• Lead development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure consistent execution across sites.
• Implement structured quality audits and corrective/preventive action processes (CAPA).
• Lead ICQA-driven continuous improvement initiatives across the network.
• Utilize data to identify systemic issues and prioritize improvements.
• Deploy Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to improve: Inventory accuracy, Process reliability & Quality outcomes.
• Track and report realized improvements and cost avoidance.
• Ensure alignment between ICQA processes and WMS/LMS systems.
• Drive enhancements to inventory control and quality reporting tools.
• Partner with IT and analytics teams to improve visibility and automation.
• Understanding of supply chain KPIs and 3PL cost-to-serve models.
