Job summary

Caleres, Inc. in Novato, CA is seeking an Inventory Planner to create and manage brand-wide buy plans, aligning production and inventory levels across multiple plants.

This role supports demand planning and S&OP processes with analytical insights to drive performance and mitigate delays. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in inventory or supply chain planning, a business-focused degree, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
• 5+ years of inventory planning, business planning, or supply chain experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Inventory & Production Planning: Create and manage style/color-level buy plans across multiple manufacturing plants.
• Support Demand Planning & S&OP Processes: Provide analytical support for the consensus demand planning process.
• Drive Supply Chain Performance: Analyze production delays, negotiate solutions, and communicate impacts to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate Across Global Teams: Participate in factory planning meetings to address capacity and constraint issues.
• Navigate Purchase Order Requirements: Manage and mitigate challenges associated with high PO entry requirements, ensuring timely execution while balancing operational and business needs.
• Effective Communication: Communicate changes, risks, and recommendations to support informed business decisions.
