Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a detailed and proactive inventory specialist to manage store-wide inventory, including front end and pharmacy stock, receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and planogram validation. You will help ensure on-shelf availability and support asset protection efforts while coordinating with pharmacy and retail teams.

The role requires fluency in English, flexible scheduling, and prior retail or Walgreens experience.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.

Responsibilities

• Executes, monitors, and trains inventory best practices for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.
• Supports pharmacy inventory management activities, including receiving, counting, ordering, and returns.
• Champions On-Shelf Availability and validates planograms.
• Reviews and coordinates use of reports and systems affecting on-hand balances and pricing.
• Handles front end and pharmacy asset protection, including filing claims for overages and shortages.
• Opens/closes the store in absence of management where required, including cash handling and cashier duties.
