Job summary

IKG is seeking an Inventory Planner to coordinate estimated materials from Engineering and Production in the ERP system to actual material usage. You will monitor all inventory transactions, control material issuance to projects, and lead semi-annual inventory events.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in an MRP-based environment, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This on-site position involves collaboration with multiple teams and coordination with suppliers.

Qualifications

• High School education is required; a four-year degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in an MRP-based environment with inventory counting/reconciliation.
• Knowledge of production, material control, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all inventory transactions including internal manufacturing consumption, external material purchases, and subcontracting costs.
• Monitor materials as they are processed through the various manufacturing processes.
• Introduce new procedures to ensure materials are correctly issued to projects and customer orders.
• Initiate and manage inventory cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy thresholds.
• Organize, plan, and lead semi-annual plant-wide inventory events.
• Monitor material returns, inter-plant transfers, and other production related inventory transactions.
• Coordinate with Production to ensure accurate and timely production reporting.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Responsible for Material Requisitions; responsible for purchasing for manufacturing supplies; coordinating material transfers with external suppliers.
