Job summary

MPG is seeking a skilled Inventory Planner to coordinate scheduling, release of production orders, and material requisitions across multiple sites. The role emphasizes maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with suppliers and manufacturing teams, and ensuring timely fulfillment of customer orders.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in inventory operations and control.
• Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, routings, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with MS Office and using an MRP system.
• Knowledge of APIC materials management concepts, MRP calculations, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and direct scheduling and release of production orders.
• Manage MRP and Bills of Materials to reflect current practices.
• Expedite late or critical orders to meet on-time delivery.
• Manage material allocations for shop orders and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales and Manufacturing to address shortages and impact on deliveries.
