Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Associate to support store and pharmacy inventory processes, including receiving, counting, ordering, and returns. Responsibilities include executing pricing tasks, assisting in vendor returns, and supporting warehouse and DSD dispatches.

Qualifications

Six months of prior work experience with Walgreens (internal candidates) or one year of prior retail work experience (external candidates).
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Must have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.
Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

Executes, monitors, and trains inventory best practices and SOPs for the store, including front end and pharmacy, receiving, counting, ordering, and returns.
Champions On-Shelf Availability and ensures planograms accuracy; reviews reports affecting on-hand balances and pricing.
Performs front end and pharmacy asset protection, including filing claims for overages, shortages, and damaged goods, including prescription drugs.
Opens and closes the store when required, handling required systems start-ups, cash handling, cashier duties, and floor readiness.
