Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Brookshire, TX facility to direct and coordinate product procurement for sales and distribution. You will review orders, coordinate with buyers and vendors, manage inventory, train staff, and ensure accurate records across the warehouse.

Responsibilities include optimizing safety, reducing stockouts, maintaining documentation, routing shipments, and supporting sales objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years operations experience in warehouse/industrial distribution preferred.
• Experience supervising a team is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial product lines such as pool equipment helpful.

Responsibilities

• Reviews open sales orders, open purchase orders, vendor claims, and transfers.
• Confers with regional buyers and vendors to obtain price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Oversees inventory, controls stock outs and reduces excess inventory.
• Performs administrative tasks for warehouse operations and inventory shrink prevention, including cycle counts and freight bills/discrepancies.
• Trains and ensures assigned employees follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Ensures merchandise is received and stored efficiently; maintains required records.
• Supervises routing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment per customer instructions.
• Reviews and analyzes reports; collaborates on policy improvements to boost efficiency.
• Works within budget and aims to meet delivery times; supports sales staff to reach objectives.
• Proficient with Prelude and other distribution/office software; follows company policies.
