Job summary

Rocket Lab (Middle River, MD) seeks a Manager of Inventory and Logistics to lead a team responsible for inventory controls, material handling, and shipping/receiving across multiple east coast sites. You will drive accuracy, on-time delivery, and efficient packaging to production.

The role requires 8+ years in supply chain with 5+ years in leadership, plus a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Travel up to 25% and hands-on leadership are essential in this fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent; total 12+ years preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership in supply chain.
• Proven ability to manage inventory teams.
• Proven ability to implement systems and tools for material management.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics.
• Travel up to 25% to multiple sites, primarily east coast.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team responsible for inventory management, material handling, and shipping/receiving across several east coast sites.
• Accountable for inventory controls, perpetual reporting, on-time delivery to production, and packaging to prevent damage.
• Implement systems and processes to manage bar-coding and bin locations.
• Oversee inventory planning and kitting to deliver materials line-side to production cells.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and cycle counts meet Finance requirements.
• Ensure shipping/receiving processes support procure-to-pay and receiving inspection.
• Travel domestically and abroad.
• Additional duties as reasonably required.
