Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD, is seeking a Manager of Inventory and Logistics to lead a multi-site team supporting East Coast operations. You will oversee inventory controls, order fulfillment, and packaging, ensuring DIFOT and accuracy. The role requires 8+ years with 5+ in leadership, and travel up to 25%.

Base salary ranges from $108,000 to $135,000 USD, with full benefits and growth opportunities in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience (12+ years total).
• 5+ years of related experience in leadership within supply chain.
• Proven ability to manage inventory teams.
• Proven ability to implement systems and tools for material management.
• Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math and statistics.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to multiple sites primarily on the east coast.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of people responsible for inventory management, material handling, and shipping and receiving across several sites on the east coast.
• Accountable for inventory controls, perpetual inventory reporting, on-time delivery of material from inventory to production, and packaging solutions to prevent damage to parts.
• Responsible for implementing systems and processes to manage bar-coding and bin locations for inventory management.
• Responsible for inventory planning and kitting process, to deliver materials line-side to production cells.
• Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and cycle counts are meeting Finance requirements.
• Responsible for ensuring shipping and receiving processes are in place and support procure-to-pay process.
• Responsible for receiving inspection, to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Travel domestically and abroad.
• Additional duties as reasonably required.
