Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a hands-on Manager of Inventory and Logistics to lead a team responsible for inventory controls, expediting, receiving, storage, picking, packing, and local dispatch across the east coast.

You will implement systems for bar-coding and bin locations, manage cycle counts meeting Finance requirements, ensure on-time delivery to production, and support procure-to-pay processes. Base pay ranges are posted with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 8+ years of total work experience; 12+ preferred.
• 5+ years in leadership within supply chain.
• Proven ability to manage inventory teams.
• Proven ability to implement material management tools.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems; strong math/stats.
• Travel up to 25% to east coast sites.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team responsible for inventory management, material handling, and shipping/receiving across east coast sites.
• Accountable for inventory controls, perpetual reporting, and on-time material delivery to production.
• Implement bar-coding and bin-location systems for inventory management.
• Manage inventory planning and kitting to deliver materials line-side.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and cycle counts meet Finance requirements.
• Ensure shipping/receiving processes support procure-to-pay; oversee receiving inspection.
• Travel domestically; perform additional duties as required.
