Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in McDonough, GA is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager to lead the inventory function, coach staff, and drive continuous improvement across distribution operations. You will ensure cycle counts, accuracy of stock, and accountable handling of defective products, while aligning with 5S principles and DEI goals.

The role requires 7+ years in distribution, 3+ years in leadership, CPIM is a plus, and 30–50% travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field is required.
• 7+ years of experience in a distribution environment.
• 5+ years in an inventory role.
• 3+ years in a leadership position.
• 3+ years of WMS experience.
• CPIM certification is a plus.
• Ability to travel 30% - 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead an inventory team, train and motivate staff, evaluate and guide performance.
• Ensure cycle counts are performed and inventory levels are accurate.
• Account for defective or damaged products and implement corrective action.
• Develop and implement SOPs for inventory roles and KPIs.
• Drive loss prevention and shrinkage reduction initiatives.
• Support DEI programs and continuous process improvement.
