Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Manager in McDonough, GA to design, manage, and optimize inventory processes in a busy 3PL environment.

You will lead the inventory function, drive accuracy, and ensure on-time, accurate product handling and reporting. The role emphasizes continuous improvement, leadership, and adherence to KPI targets. Typical shifts are Mon–Fri, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, with opportunities to contribute to DEI initiatives and global logistics goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in a distribution environment.
• 5+ years in an inventory role.
• 3+ years in a leadership position.
• 3+ years of WMS experience.
• CPIM certification is a plus.
• Ability to travel 30% - 50%.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the success of the inventory function and customer satisfaction.
• Lead an inventory team, train and motivate staff, evaluate and guide their performance.
• Support DEI programs with leadership and HR initiatives.
• Identify techniques and analytics to improve planning processes.
• Lead annual cost planning with accuracy and transparency.
• Oversee discrepancies via cycle counts and adjustments.
• Implement loss prevention programs to reduce shrinkage and risk.
• Build a recovery program to account for defective products.
• Drive accountability and process improvement using KPIs and action plans.
• Create SOPs for all inventory roles and related reports.
