Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler Lead to oversee material handling, inventory control, and reporting. The role works with the lead, supervisor, and upper management to ensure accurate transactions and efficient operations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in related roles, strong leadership, and excellent communication. You will manage cycle counts, locate products, verify paperwork, and coordinate with project teams to expedite customer requests on-site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in material handling or lead roles.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to direct others.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to read work orders/prints and have advanced computer skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Print reading ability and attention to detail.
• Must understand receiving and store fixture industry and be able to identify products from labels.
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Manager when on-floor Manager is off-floor.
• Direct and coordinate material handling activities with lead, supervisor and upper management.
• Communicate actively with employees and upper management.
• Locate products, perform cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Work with project management to expedite customer requests.
• Close jobs, place items in inventory and assign locations; manage reports and transfers in ERP.
• Prepare shipments for unloading or transit and inspect inbound/outbound goods against paperwork.
• Handle multiple priorities independently and provide results to the area manager.
