Job summary

Forgent Power is seeking an Inventory Lead to oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accurate records, efficient material flow, and compliance with procedures. You will lead cycle counts, audits, receiving verification, and transactions while coordinating with warehouse, purchasing, production, and logistics teams.

The role is hourly with standard hours Monday–Friday 7:00a–3:30p, with additional hours as workload requires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of inventory control, warehouse, or materials management experience.
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience using ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to pass background and drug test prior to employment.
• Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish daily tasks while managing shifting priorities and ambiguity.
• Physical requirements: stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP/WMS system.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies, shortages, and overages.
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper inventory transactions are completed accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate inventory movements between locations and departments.
• Develop and execute cycle count schedules.
• Lead and perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Analyze count results and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy.
• Prepare inventory reports and documentation for management review.
• Assist with annual physical inventory activities.
• Provide daily direction and support to inventory specialists, cycle counters, and warehouse personnel.
• Train team members on inventory procedures, systems, and best practices.
• Foster a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
