Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced Inventory/Materials Supervisor who will oversee material handling, inventory control, and reporting in a manufacturing environment. This role requires leadership and collaboration with lead, supervisor, and upper management.

Responsibilities include directing teams, performing cycle counts, managing ERP transactions, ensuring inventory accuracy, coordinating shipments, and working with project management to meet customer requests.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in leadership roles.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read work orders/prints and use computers proficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Problem solving and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of receiving and inventory control in a manufacturing context.
• Ability to identify product from labels and manage inventory accuracy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and represent the team as needed.
• Operate as Manager when the Manager is off-floor.
• Coordinate with other departments and upper management.
• Locate products, conduct cycle counts, and ensure inventory and financial accuracy.
• Expedite customer requests with project management and coordinators.
• Close jobs, enter items into inventory, and assign locations.
• Prepare shipments for unloading or transit and inspect inbound/outbound goods.
• Resolve discrepancies with lead/manager and ensure paperwork matches.
• Work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Perform picking and bin transfers in the ERP system.
• Handle Receiving/Shipping Clerk tasks and operate lift equipment as needed.
• Scan QR and bar codes and complete basic pick transactions.
