Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a hands-on operations leader to oversee material handling, inventory control, and reporting. This role will supervise direct reports and collaborate with supervisors and upper management to maintain efficient production.

Responsibilities include directing workers, acting as Manager when needed, and ensuring accurate handling and documentation of goods, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership skills and the ability to direct others.
• Experience managing inventories and stock controls.
• Print reading ability and basic math for handling paperwork.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while managing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead or act as Manager when the manager is off floor.
• Oversee material handling and inventory control practices.
• Ensure accurate paperwork matches received and shipped goods.
• Coordinate with inventory manager and upper management.
• Organize and plan shipments for unloading or transit.
• Perform cycle counts and report results to inventory manager.
