Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an Inventory Specialist to execute, monitor, and train on inventory best practices across the store and pharmacy. You will support inventory management, including receiving, counting, ordering, pricing, returns, and planogram accuracy.

You will review reports, ensure on-hand balances and pricing accuracy, and perform front-end and pharmacy asset protection activities. Flexibility to open/close as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of retail experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Experience identifying operational issues and resolving problems.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor inventory best practices for the entire store, including front end and pharmacy.
• Review reports and system applications to ensure accuracy of on-hand balances and pricing.
• Execute asset protection tasks and handle shortages, returns, and damaged goods.
• Open and close the store in the absence of management when required, including cash handling and POS duties.
• Maintain and update inventory records and support physical inventory activities.
