Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a capable inventory associate to execute and monitor inventory best practices across store and pharmacy operations. The role includes receiving, counting, pricing, returns, and ensuring on-shelf availability with accurate planograms.

The position requires experience in retail inventory, strong attention to detail, and the ability to coach team members. Flexibility for evenings/weekends is expected, and customer service is a core focus.

Qualifications

• Six months of prior Walgreens experience or one year of prior retail work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Must have a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi task and manage execution.
• Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Executes and coaches team members on warehouse and vendor inventory management processes including creating, reviewing, and receiving orders.
• Scans in all deliveries while the vendor is in the store and coordinates with vendors for past undelivered receipts.
• Verifies pharmacy shipments, postings for pharmacy orders, recalls, and reporting shortages or damaged products.
• Opens and closes the store in the absence of management, handling cash, and POS duties as needed.
• Completes On-Shelf Availability end-to-end for planogrammed departments including disposals and vendor returns.
• Maintains and verifies inventory counts and on-hand quantities across departments and pharmacy.
• Ensures store compliance with state/local laws for regulated products and keeps inventory records updated.
• Supports packaging/delivery activities and pickup program execution as required.
