Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking an Inventory Control Associate in Maple Grove to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the store’s inventory. The role involves cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and daily auditing of inbound and outbound merchandise in a fast-paced retail environment.

The position requires at least one year in inventory control within a big box retailer, with strong attention to detail, customer service, and the ability to multitask under pressure.

Qualifications

• One year of inventory control experience in a big box retail company or equivalent.
• Demonstrated POS analysis and reporting experience.
• Business analysis experience is a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding and compliance with safe lifting practices SOP.
• Follow the daily cycle count and category review calendar.
• Research inventory discrepancies and make adjustments in the inventory system.
• Review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
• Report tagging or SKU discrepancies to department managers immediately.
• Audit the BFR daily per Inventory Control SOP.
• Audit incoming/outgoing trucks randomly.
• Audit the SOR process per Return of Sale SOP.
• Audit the SRR process for Voids/Partial voids per SOP.
• Audit RTVs to ensure processing per SOP.
• Monitor facility security and notify management of issues.
• Audit customer merchandise storage area weekly and resolve issues with CEM/Operations Manager.
• Provide assistance during physical inventory periods.
• Ensure ‘Sample’ tape on boxes written off to Sam; notify if missing.
• Run OSDR Report monthly for various codes and document findings.
• Check at least 10 receipts daily and correct discrepancies with CEM/Operations Manager.
• Communicate day’s CCYL discrepancies to Store Management and propose fixes.
• Maintain all cycle count paperwork per SOP.
• Follow up to ensure changes are implemented.
