Job summary

AV is seeking a Material Control Specialist II to maintain optimal inventory levels and support production efficiency. You will track, analyze, and reconcile stock records, collaborating with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to optimize flow and minimize discrepancies.

The role involves monitoring materials availability, data entry in ERP/MRP systems, and potentially packaging/shipping for domestic and international shipments. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related inventory experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems for inventory tracking and control.

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels and ensures materials are available to meet production and operational needs.
• Receives and counts stock items, and records data using a computerized system.
• Packs and unpacks items to be stocked in the stockroom in an orderly and accessible manner.
• Conducts cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile stock discrepancies.
• Investigates and resolves inventory variances with procurement, warehouse, and production teams.
• Issues materials to customers or coworkers based on incoming requisitions.
• Maintains accurate inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.
• May be responsible for packaging and shipping (domestic and international) as needed.
• Tracks incoming shipments and expedites critical materials when necessary.
• Implements inventory control policies and process improvements to reduce waste.
• Performs semi-routine assignments and adapts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors or inventory managers.
