Job summary

AeroVironment is hiring a Material Control Specialist III in West Valley City, UT. The role focuses on maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production and ensure data accuracy across ERP/MRP systems.

You will collaborate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to minimize discrepancies and improve inventory flow. Responsibilities include cycle counting, data entry, stock reconciliation, and shipping duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of related stockroom/inventory experience
• Foundational knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experience with MRP/ERP inventory tracking and control
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Monitors inventory levels to ensure materials are available for production and operations
• Receives and counts stock items and records data in computerized system
• Packs and unpacks items for stockroom storage
• Performs cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies
• Investigates and resolves inventory variances with procurement, warehouse and production teams
• Distributes materials to customers or coworkers based on requisitions
• Maintains accurate ERP/MRP inventory records and data integrity
• May handle packaging and shipping (domestic and international) of various materials
• Tracks incoming shipments with suppliers and internal stakeholders to expedite critical materials
• Assists in implementing inventory control policies and process improvements
• Performs assignments that require judgment and problem-solving
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors or inventory managers
