Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist in Franklin, LA to manage and optimize inventory for high-tech equipment production. You will maintain ERP records, perform cycle counts, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to prevent stockouts and ensure quality compliance. This role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The position is contract-to-hire, onsite, with a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of warehouse experience involving receiving and logging inventory into an ERP system.
• Experience with cycle counting and warehouse inventory management.
• Ability to operate or learn forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all inventory items and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and overstock.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies.
• Receive materials into the warehouse and log inventory into the ERP system.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and accurate records.
• Manage supplier relationships to negotiate terms and pricing.
• Verify incoming materials meet quality standards with QC team.
• Identify and resolve quality issues with procurement and QC.
• Generate inventory reports for management review.
• Maintain documentation of inventory processes and adjustments.
• Improve inventory control procedures to reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and security protocols for handling materials.
• Safeguard inventory from theft and damage.
